Can non-resident individuals open an account with BT?

Of course it is! If you are a non-resident citizen, for opening a current accountall you have to do is come to the bank in any of the our branches. 😃

What documents do you need?

⠀Identity card:

  • If you are an EU/EEA/Swiss Confederation citizen, please bring your passport or identity card issued by your country of residence.
  • If you are a non-EU citizen, bring your passport

You mention us (TIN/Your personal Taxpayer identification number). It is issued by the tax authorities in your country of residence on confirmation of payment of taxes - which helps you avoid double taxation. 😊

⠀The last points to tick are a few documents that prove domicile: a bank statement from a third party bank - not older than 3 months; a utility bill - not older than 3 months; address from a state institution showing domicile; driving licence, if applicable).
