How are BT-issued cards used in PayPal?

To use your BT card in the PayPalservice, just follow these steps:

⠀Add your BT card to the PayPal profile you created.

At that time, PayPal performs a test transaction of 1 USD.

The transaction will not be settled, but only authorised, the purpose being card verification.

This is why you cannot add a card attached to an account with no available funds to your PayPal profile. 😮

⠀After adding the card, PayPal validates it.

A new transaction will take place which, unlike the first one, will be settled (the amount is €1.5 and will be withdrawn from the card and charged to your PayPal account at the same time).

The transaction will be done without checking the code CVV2based on previously stored card data (as all future transactions on this site) 🌐

When the €1.5 transaction is settled, the details of the transaction are also sent, which contain a 4-digit code visible on the statement.

⠀ Add this code to the website and the card will be added to your PayPal account. 👍

And that's it! Oh, by the way, did you know that Elon Musk is the co-founder of PayPal? 🤓
