What do I have to do if my account is overdrawn in order to release the money?
It is good to know that the garnishment is set up on the amounts in all bank accounts, present and those that you will collect, up to the amount of the garnishment, so the amounts are automatically blocked for garnishment.
The amounts exempted from garnishment (the due share of salary rights, pension, child-raising allowance, allowances, state grants, per diems, special purpose allowances, APIA/AFIR subsidies, etc.) can be released either at your request or at the bank's initiative.
In case you have a credit line on your current account where you receive salaries/pensions/other income assimilated to salaries or you receive amounts such as allowances, state scholarships, per diems, special purpose allowances, APIA/AFIR subsidies, the amounts exempted from garnishment will be released at your request or at the bank's initiative in a separate sub-account opened by the bank in your name called Current account for release of amounts.
The amounts collected in the current account can be withdrawn from any BT unit. If you also wish to use the amounts for payments (to merchants, bills, internet) and do not have a card attached to this account, you can request to have your debit card attached to any BT establishment or via the Call Center Service on 0264 308 000.
