What happens to the money available in my accounts after the communication to ANAF?
Banks will no longer transfer the amounts directly to ANAF after a garnishee has been set up, but only after ANAF has sent the bank a message (called a payment order) to transfer the amounts.
At BT, we keep the amounts that can be paid to the ANAF in a dedicated account called the ANAF's Cert Balance Account for Poprire which you can view in your bank statement and Internet banking applications.
Amounts in this account can no longer be released at the customer's request, and the bank cannot reduce the amount after the daily statement of amounts is sent to ANAF.
