What happens when I pay at a merchant enrolled in Mastercard ID Check? Do I need to make any additional transactions?
When you shop online from a 3D Secure-enrolled merchant, your card will be automatically recognized.
Once you have entered your card details on the merchant's page, you are automatically directed to the 3D Secure page, where you are prompted in the first step to enter an OTP code received on the number you have given to the bank.
After entering the code, in the second step, you need to enter a static password that you set the first time you make an online payment with that card at a merchant where 3D Secure verification is required. The static password will be valid for 90 days after setting.
After confirming the payment with the OTP code received by SMS and the static password, you need to go back to the merchant's page to check if the payment was successful.
