What can I do to avoid becoming a victim of a phishing attack?
If you have accessed a suspicious link received by email and have entered your login details in the BT24 application, please contact us as soon as possible at 0264 308 028* to temporarily disable the BT24 Internet Banking and to check the transactions on your account.
If you cannot reach us by phone, please come to the nearest BT unit.
For your online safety, we recommend the following:
➤ do not access links in unsolicited emails or emails sent by strangers, especially those that appear to be sent from us;
➤ do not access or download attachments received in such e-mails;
➤ visit BT24 Internet Banking only from our website;
➤ check the address bar in your browser to see if the existing address is that of our Internet Banking service;
➤ verify that you have an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to the site Internet Banking BT24 and that the holder of the digital certificate is BT;
➤ make sure you have anti-virus and anti-spyware solutions installed and that they are regularly updated;
➤ do not save your Internet Banking login credentials to your computer's memory;
➤ set a password of high complexity (to contain lowercase, uppercase, numbers and special characters) and change it periodically.
