What is a "guarantee ceiling"?

The Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund is the officially recognised deposit guarantee scheme in Romania. The guarantee ceiling is the RON equivalent of 100.000 EURO per depositor which is guaranteed by law through the FGDSB.
