What is "MTCN code"?

MTCN is an abbreviation of "Money Transfer Control Number" 😅

Each money transfer is therefore assigned a unique identification number which, in some countries, is obligatory for payment.

The MTCN code has 10 digits and you can get it from the transfer documents (yours, or the person sending you the money) 😉

You have to take this number into account if:

⠀you want to send money to a person in which case it would be advisable to send them the code because they might need it;

or if you are the one receiving the money in which case it would be advisable to ask for the code from the person making your bank transfer.
