What is the role of the Deposit Guarantee Fund in the Banking System?

The main role is to guarantee the repayment of deposits made by customers with the bank:

➤⠀both for individuals; 

➤⠀as well as for legal entities. 


In other words, if the bank where you opened your deposit is unable to pay, then the FGDB will reimburse you the amount due on your deposit up to the limit set. 😇
