The wristbands work just like a contactless bank card: for payments of up to RON 100 (or the equivalent of EUR 20 in other currencies), no PIN is required. 

However, for higher value purchases, you must enter your PIN. You get the PIN code for the wristband when you pick it up at the bank. 😊
